Each independently owned Repco Authorised Service workshop offers you an Australian-wide warranty ensuring the goods and services you receive are free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If something does go wrong or you have a question about our Nationwide Warranty, please get in touch with us here. With over 500 Repco Authorised Service centres Australia wide, there are few places you won't find one of our workshops within easy reach. Warranty Period For services provided by any Repco Authorised Service workshop, the warranty is for a period of 12 months or 20,000kms (whichever comes first) from the date of your invoice. Claims If you need to make a claim under the warranty, please contact the Repco Authorised Service workshop that originally completed the work on your vehicle. The workshop where the work was originally performed will be responsible for responding to and accepting claims. If the original workshop can't help, they may authorise another workshop in the network to assist. Terms and Conditions What does the warranty cover? The Repco Authorised Service workshop will have the option of reperforming, replacing or repairing the good or service if it is or becomes defective during the warranty period, at no additional charge.
a.       Where the good or service is replaced, repaired or reperformed pursuant to this warranty, the replacement good or reperformed service will be subject to the terms of this warranty commencing on the date of the original invoice.
b.       If you request for a good to be repaired, your Repco Authorised Service workshop may choose to replace the good with a refurbished good of the same type. The warranty will cover any reasonable diagnosis or scanning fees conducted by the relevant Repco Authorised Service workshop, if such goods or services are later found to be defective. If the work done on your vehicle involves the supply of services from another service provider nominated by the Repco Authorised Service centre, the warranty offered by such service provider will replace this Nationwide Warranty to the extent of such goods .  The Repco Authorised Service centre will advise you of the terms and conditions of such warranty. The rights and obligations under this warranty remain solely with the original Repco Authorised Service workshop that provided you with the product or service. The benefit of this warranty is personal to you and is not transferable. What does the warranty not cover? This warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear and consumable goods such as globes, wipers, and fluids; loss of any data stored in your vehicle like music or phone numbers; and any incidental loss or damage caused by the defect, such as towing fees, loss of profits, loss of use and loss of goodwill or other loss or damage that cannot reasonably be considered to arise normally. This warranty is void if the defect is a consequence of misuse, neglect, abuse, incorrect operation or improper maintenance of the vehicle, accident, or other use that is not otherwise caused by a Repco Authorised Service workshop. How to submit a warranty claim Step 1: Have your original invoice ready. Step 2: Ensure that you make your claim within the warranty period. Step 3:  Please contact the Repco Authorised Service centre that carried out the relevant repairs or maintenance on your vehicle. Their contact details are on  your original invoice.  Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law The goods and services acquired from a Repco Authorised Service workshop comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

We service and repair cars and other vehicles. We sell and service a range of new and used agricultural machinery and equipment. We also sell and source parts. Our major products are Deutz-Fahr tractors, Kioti tractors and machinery, and wide range Silvan and Silvan Selecta products. We also sell Giltrap, Antonio Carrero, Stihl, Burder, John Berends, Hustler Zero Turn Mowers, Cox Ride-On Mowers, Bushman Lawn Mowers and Schulte Sales Australia products. How much can I expect to pay? We are able to help you in regards to machinery and equipment by providing a quote on equipment to suit your needs. We offer very competitive pricing. If your question is vehicle service or repair related, then one of our other friendly staff will be happy to assist you.  Can you pick up & drop off my car? Yes, we are happy to arrange for pick-up and delivery depending on your location.  Do you have a car I can use while my car is being fixed? We do have a courtesy car available. Please discuss this at the time of booking. How much will the work on my vehicle cost? We are able to provide you with a quote prior to working on your vehicle. The total cost will depend on labour, parts and other related costs to complete the work. If when we are working on your vehicle we come across additional work to be done then we will contact you and discuss this with you.  What sort of guarantee do I get with my repair? If we fail to fix the issue with your vehicle and the problem is the one which the car was brought in for originally then we are happy to rectify this without charging for labour. Sometimes, one issue may be fixed and then another one occurs which was not apparent. In this case, you would be required to pay for the extra work and parts. If a vehicle is not repaired to your satisfaction then you should return it immediately. Leaving it for a lengthy period of time is not appropriate in this case.  How do you fix (insert what you want fixed)? The best way for us to answer this very general question is for you to bring your vehicle in for us to look at it. We are happy for you to bring your vehicle in to our qualified mechanics for diagnosis and repairs. Sometimes one problem may actually be hiding several others. Bringing your vehicle in is the safest and surest way for accurate diagnosis to be made and then repairs may be quoted.  Do you offer interest free terms? No, we don't provide interest free terms. Most accounts will need to be settled on the day work is completed. Approved account customers will have a set period of time in which to pay their accounts. This is usually 30 days for business and 14 days for private customers. For the purchase of machinery we have credit providers available who are able to tailor packages in a variety of ways in an attempt to suit your requirements.  Do you have a prepaid service? what about finance? Sometimes when a vehicle requires major expense to repair it then part of the work may need to be prepaid. This is especially so if we are required to order in specialised parts. Any farm machinery orders will require a deposit to secure the order. Our History Kerry Hammond and Terry Peatt have grown their farm machinery dealership Ararat Auto & Ag Services by keeping their options open in business. When Kerry Hammond first met her partner Terry Peatt, he was working as a mechanic in his father's business Caltex Mid City Service Centre opposite the local picture theatre in the main street of Ararat. At the time it was a service station and a mechanical repair business. Born locally, Hammond went to Ararat High School, while Peatt grew up in Buangor on a small rural property. They went to the same school and travelled on the same school bus, but life being the way it is, they didn't really have much to do with each other until later in life. Hammond's parents and grandparents were all farmers, and she spent all her childhood and teenage years on the farm, apart from when studying in Ballarat to become a teacher in her late teens. Meanwhile Peatt grew up around machines and trucks, with a keen interest in anything mechanical. Completing his apprenticeship at the local General Motors Holden dealer, he worked on trucks and cars and later as a mechanical fitter and welder on construction sites in Gippsland and Newcastle. Soon after Hammond and Peatt met in 2004, Peatt's father Bill passed away unexpectedly, but not before passing on some valuable business tips. He also showed Kerry how to do the bookwork by hand. "Bill Peatt was a very astute business man, and was the driving force behind the innovations surrounding the local Ararat RSL complex in his day," Hammond says. "He is well known in Ararat for his contribution to the RSL." Hammond asserts both she and Peatt are completely driven. "I think that's why we work well together as a team," she says. "We both work hard on what we are trying to achieve." When an opportunity came along to lease, and finally buy, a commercial site previously owned by the local Toyota Dealer on the busy Western Highway, they jumped at the opportunity. "We felt owning our own site was important to give us flexibility," Hammond says.
